No. 23, Monmouth Street
A wide three-storey, early-20th-century property with mansard attic storey above. London stock brick with nicely detailed red brick arches above the windows at each level and an attractive, egg-and-dart moulded cornice projecting above the first floor windows. At ground floor level a traditionally detailed shopfront painted brown with a fascia carrying modest externally illuminated applied lettering, and a projecting hanging sign at first floor level.
Although unlisted, the property is of townscape value, contributing modestly to the character, appearance and significance of the Seven Dials Conservation Area.
There is scope to provide flower boxes in the window openings at first floor level.
