No. 15, Mercer Street
A late-19th-century, four-storey, two-bay house, faced in London Stock brick with deeply projecting stone cills to the window openings - containing 3-over-3 subdivided sashes and a brick and stone principal cornice above the second floor window openings. A plaque containing the Mercers' Company’s demi-Virgin heraldic device - The Mercer’s Maiden - is located at high level just below the cornice. There is a 19th-century gas lamp which is a good historic detail. This is a neat and well-maintained property. The brick has been cleaned.
An unlisted building of particular townscape interest contributing positively to the character, appearance and significance of the Covent Garden Conservation Area.
