No. 37, Shelton Street

No. 37, Shelton Street, marking the west corner of the junction of Shelton Street and Nottingham Court, comprises a gabled, part-three/part-four storey, late-19th century warehouse building. The original, red brick façade survives at first, second and third floor levels with black painted stone bands. There is a modern, poorly made red brick façade at ground floor level.

There are paired, segmentally-arched window openings with subdivided, timber sash windows at first and second floor levels to each side of a deep-set, full-height recess with black, bull-nose brick jambs containing inward-opening, glazed, timber doors and drop-down flaps at first, second and third floor levels.

There are three, fully-glazed shopfront openings at ground floor level, with eternally illuminated lettering above the central door opening.

The building is of architectural and historic interest and townscape value contributing positively to the character, appearance and significance of the Seven Dials Conservation Area.
